Join us for HIV Speaks on Gervais Street 2025!

Team North Carolina AIDS Action Network is excited to announce that registration is now open for HIV Speaks on Gervais Street (Tuesday, May 6th, 2025). The event will take place in West Columbia, SC at Brookland Baptist  Banquet & Conference Center.

Due to the alarming signals from the proposed 2026 federal budget, and the growing attacks on HIV funding, LGBTQ+ rights, and DEI, we are pivoting our May 6th event from direct advocacy visits at the State House, to something even more urgent! WE NEED YOU HERE! We need your voices, We need your stories, We need your commitment!

This isn’t a cancellation, it’s a call-in. We are still gathering. We are still learning. We are still speaking.
          But this time, we’re laying the groundwork for how we fight back in our churches, in our cities, at town halls,                        and at kitchen tables.

The South Carolina legislative session ends May 8. But our advocacy is just beginning.

We must know our lawmakers by name. We must tell our stories. We must know how to make an impact.
We must build support systems that don’t rely on “the cavalry.” We are the community. And the plan starts now.
